The Commission has voiced its worries that Bet-at-home has been acting in a way that goes against the Act and its licensing. The decision to suspend was based on serious concerns about purported shortcomings in anti-money laundering and social responsibility policies.
The immediate suspension is in line with the provisions of section 118(2) of the Act.
During the suspension, the operator is expected to prioritise treating consumers fairly and keeping them fully informed of any developments that affect them, according to the Commission.
Customers of Bet-at-home will still be able to access their accounts and withdraw any available amount, as verified by the Commission, despite the decision to suspend the licence.
According to a statement posted on Bet-at-home's website, the company's operations in the UK have been temporarily halted by the UK Gambling Commission. Unfortunately, at this time we are unable to accept your registration, bets, games, or deposits.
